People are taken up to a ship in a beam of light, medical experiments are performed, and then they are returned to or near the location they were abducted from. Betty and Barney Hill

On September 19, 1961, while traveling home from a trip to Montréal, Barney spotted an object in the sky. He stopped the car to get a look at it and saw several beings staring down at him. He returned to the car and quickly sped away. The next thing he and Betty knew was that they were 35 miles down the road. They would later find out that they had over two hours of missing time.

Under hypnosis, Betty and Barney recalled being taken aboard of a UFO and Betty drew Zeti Reticuli, which had not yet been discovered.
